The Job
The role involves supporting legal professionals, NGOs, and academic institutions by delivering detailed, country-specific insights related to political developments, human rights, social structures, and legal frameworks in East Asia
Key Responsibilities:
Produce expert reports analyzing conditions in their country of expertiserelated to social, political, legal, or human rights concerns, based on individual case contexts.
Provide objective, well-researched insight to inform legal arguments, documentation, or case evaluations.
Deliver professional, well-documented reports to support legal cases (including asylum and immigration) and academic/public policy projects.
Review case-specific documents and apply your expertise to relevant questions.
Follow a structured legal report template with support from our team at every step.
Maintain high standards of neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality.
The Profile
Substantial knowledge and experience dealing with political, social, and/or human rights issues in East Asian country/ies
A background in law, political science, international relations, human rights, journalism, or a related field.
Accreditation or membership in a recognized professional body is an advantage.
A portfolio of written work (e.g., academic articles, reports, legal briefs, journalistic pieces) related to East Asian country/ies
Fluency in English and strong writing skills are essential
Strong punctuality and ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
