Andersen is hiring a Junior System Analyst for a project with a global insurance company in Germany. The role focuses on supporting the digital transformation of API infrastructure to improve integration, scalability, and alignment with the client’s digital strategy.

Our customer is a world leader in insurance and B2B2C support, which offers global solutions that span international health and life insurance, travel insurance, cars, and their service. The company is dedicated to delivering world-class, agile, and sustainable IT solutions, driving full-spectrum digitalization.

The project is focused on the digital transformation of the client's API infrastructure through the definition of a comprehensive API architecture, the design and development of external APIs, and the establishment of effective API management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and analyzing user requirements for the API.
• Analyzing the functionality of existing APIs.
• Designing REST API in OpenAPI specification format.
• Forming a backlog of tasks for the development of REST API.
• Documenting user and functional requirements for the REST API in the format of user stories highlighting and detailed description of acceptance criteria.
• Modeling domain area (entity-relationship diagrams), business processes and algorithms (UML activity diagrams), functionality (UML use case diagrams), service interactions (UML sequence diagrams).
• Compiling user documentation for API consumers and publishing it on the developer portal.
• Conducting REST API acceptance testing and maintain collections of API requests.
• Demonstrating the work of the REST API.
• Managing API access and organizing onboarding of new API consumers.
• Identifying gaps in the functionality of the portal for developers, the formation of a backlog of tasks for the completion of the portal, their description and acceptance testing.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a System Analyst for 6+ months.
• Experience on the side of the API provider (not the consumer of the API; ideally - API for integration with systems of other organizations).
• Knowledge of various types of API authentication (especially OAuth).
• Knowledge of the OpenID Connect (OIDC) standard.
• Experience defining authorization rules for API.
• Solid understanding of the REST API (ideally - REST API design experience).
• Possession of Postman (ability to learn and test API).
• Experience in documenting requirements in the user story format (breaking into stories, highlighting acceptance criteria).
• Modeling experience: UML (sequence diagrams, activity diagrams), ERD (business domain models).
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
