Bookkeeper (Full-Time) – Almaty

Location: Almaty (currently remote)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: From 500,000 KZT per month

Astorts Group is an international group of business advisory firms, providing clients with corporate and accounting services across multiple jurisdictions (UAE, Singapore, UK, USA, Hong Kong and Canada).

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our growing team in Almaty.

Work format:

Currently, this role is 100% remote. Once our Almaty office is open, the format may become hybrid (some days in the office, some from home). However, this flexibility should not be mistaken for a lack of accountability. We expect you to take full ownership of your responsibilities,, even if no one is physically watching!

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data integrity.

• Work with Zoho Books and Excel for bookkeeping tasks.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting regulations.

• Support tax filings and liaise with auditors as required.

• Client communication as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• At least 5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting roles.

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Anglo-Saxon accounting rules.

• Proficiency in Zoho Books (or other IFRS accounting software) and Microsoft Excel.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent self-organization and time-management skills to work effectively in a remote environment

• Reliable equipment and stable internet connection when working remotely.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Good communication skills in English and Russian.
