The role will involve:

• Develop, modify, optimize and test scripts in Python and R
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and optimize business solutions
• Calculating and advising on life and non-life insurance policies and reserves, pensions and employee benefits.
• Actuarial modeling and financial risk modeling;
• Applying mathematical and statistical techniques to business problems;
• Preparation of reports and presentation materials. Performing research and problem solving
• Participating in the audit of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS)
• Working as part of a team checking client financial documentation and providing client-focused services
• Working in a multifunctional team and daily communication with clients, representatives of foreign offices and other business units of Deloitte

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics / Computer Science / Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on programming experience
• Strong analytical skills and logical thinking with attention to detail;
• Good understanding of calculus, probability, statistics
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• Strong knowledge in Python, R;
• Experience working with big data is an advantage.
• Asynchronous programming, implementation of parallel computations is an advantage.
• Building a product from scratch experience is an advantage;
• Good knowledge of VBA is an advantage;
• High commitment to complete actuarial exams;
• Strong desire to build a career within an International Audit firm;
• Readiness to day-by-day problem solving and challenges;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Russian and English;
• Good presentation skills;
