Job Description1) admission and enrollment of applicants to Nazarbayev University (hereinafter - the University);
2) participation in analysis, planning the work of the Division;
3) coordination and maintenance of the Division's part on the official website of the University according to the requirements for admission to the academic programs of the University;
4) maintenance of statistics on admission and enrolment processes within the competence;
5) making proposals for improvement of admission and enrollment of applicants to the University programs;
6) participation in the analysis, planning and maintenance of work on automatization, improvement and optimization processes of the online application for admission to the University, selection and enrollment, processing statistical data of the applicants;
7) participation in promotion of the academic programs and recruitment events in order to attract applicants to the University programs within the Division’s competence;
8) interaction with foreign partners on standardized tests;
9) work with requests from the University's structural units, timely responses to letters and appeals from the citizens, partners, and third parties within the competence of the Division;
10) interaction with government authorities and educational organizations within the competence of the Division;
11) interaction with structural divisions on the admission of students to the University programs;
12) implementation of assistance to the Head in coordinating the work of managers responsible for admission to the University programs;
13) coordination of Admission Committees’ work;
14) maintenance, check and correction of applicants’ data in electronic database;
15) participation in the development of normative documents of the University within the competence;
16) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
17) maintenance the confidentiality of information concerning the personal data of applicants/students, the activities of the University, except where such disclosure is required in the work of the Division within the competence and/or upon the instructions of the management of the University;
18) keeping the personal files of applicants safe before transferring to the relevant structural unit of the University;
19) informs the Head in a timely manner of possible risks, threats, appearance of extraordinary situations for timely preventive action;
20) upgrades the qualifications in accordance with the job description;
21) timely and proper fulfillment of orders of the Head and the University management;
22) observe the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the University`s internal documents;
23) is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
24) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official document, and disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted distribution which shall not be disclosed according to the requirements of the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the University;
25) in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).
Qualifications
Education:
Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction; Preferably a master's degree.
Priority specializations: Educational Management; Technical; Humanities; Science.
Work experience:
Required work experience is five years with Bachelor/Specialist degree or three years with Master’s degree in the corresponding field.
At least three years of professional experience in public, commercial administration or international organizations, or in the field of higher education and/or non-governmental organization, focused on students affairs, mainly in areas specified in the section of functional tasks is preferable
Knowledge:
- knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;
- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;
- fluent in English, Kazakh, Russian.
Skills:
- skills in working with databases and large amounts of data;
- analytical skills (to utilize information from different sources, to make a forecast on the basis of available data \ analysis of the activities carried out \ development of an effective activity plan);
- presentations skills;
- well-bred speech and communication skills;
- reports and policy briefs preparation skills;
- problem-solving skills (professional assessment);
- policy adjustment skills.
