Siemens Digital Industries is looking for an Area Sales Representative that is responsible for “opening doors” for our sales organization, connecting with new businesses or new prospects at existing customers. You will work with the Digital Business team and sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities. We will train you on the overall value proposition of the solutions you are selling to be able to quickly communicate the message to prospects.
You will also be responsible for driving customers' decision making from remote either in conjunction with general sales channels or in direct contact with customers.
Responsibilities of the Role
· Qualifies and develops customers by gaining insight into current customers business model and identifies business potential through digital channels (Outreach, Highspot, LinkedIn)
· Adapt and drive Sales campaigns for digital sales customers (coordinate product campaigns for customers)
· Develop new opportunities for cross and up selling
· Use digital sales engagement (Outreach) to respond and interact with prospects based on its preferences within the sales funnel and customer journey
· Build prospect interest in the products and services offered by Siemens DI through web, social media, e-mail and cold calling
· Enrich and profile our databases (Outreach and Salesforce)
· Improve conversion rates, e.g. manual to digital orders, digital quotes to orders
· Ensure a fast and easy connection of customers to the digital environment
· Responsibility to develop the sales volume with assigned customers
· Analyses customers' needs and may efficiently support their decision-making process.
· Act as a “trust-in-person” contact to spot opportunities and prospects, pre-qualifies customer contacts by remote customer contact
Qualifications and Experience
· Relevant Tertiary degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering LC coupled with a Sales qualification or similar
· 3-5 years’ experience in technology sales and marketing preferably in the B2B industry
· Understanding of marketing and sales funnels
· General know-how on digital and online sales tools (CRM, Sales Engagement)
· Microsoft office know-how on Word, Excel, Planner, and teams

· Able to think creatively and apply new ideas to overcome challenges
· Works well with a team and autonomously
· Ability to research and quickly translate information into action
